North Wales offers so much to do – the majestic mountains of Snowdonia, stunning beaches, a fascinating culture & heritage and idyllic countryside. You can travel from one side to the other in less than 2 hours. Your North Wales adventure starts here.

Exploring the walled towns of world heritage sites like Conwy and Caernafon, known for their magnificent castles. The surf fringed rocks of Anglesey and the Llyn Peninsula can be reached across the delightful Menai Bridge at Bangor, giving you access to miles of unspoilt coastline and fine Victorian seaside town of Beaumaris. You are also only a short drive from other seaside towns like Prestatyn, Rhyl, Colwyn bay and Llandudno. It is here you can also visit the Great Orme, a magnificent hilly promontory above the town, accessible by a Victorian tram service. Dominating the landscape is Snowdonia, take a walk or a climb or simply enjoy the views and the picturesque villages of Llanberis, Capel Curig and Betws-y-Coed.

A leisurely pace of life

If you want to slow down and enjoy a more leisurely pace of life, why not indulge yourself at one of the regions many food festivals throughout the year, meander through the beautiful Bodnant Gardens or sit back and soak up some rich Welsh history aboard the Welsh Highland steam powered railway from Caernarfon.

North Wales is something of a haven for the golfer. You’ll find plenty of golf courses within a short hop of your holiday park, including links, parkland and moorland courses. If you don’t want to drive too far for a round, then Prestatyn, Rhyl, Rhuddlan, Silver Birch, Kinmel, Hollywell and Denbigh golf clubs are located between 15 and 30 minutes away from our holiday parks, depending on which you are based at.

If you’d prefer a quiet afternoon fishing, beach fishing (Talacre Beach) is highly recommended and coarse fishing, sea fishing and fly fishing are all locally available. Or browse and shop in the many quaint towns and villages within the region.

A small but lively University town traced back to the 6th Century. Art and local artefacts are on display at Storiel with a good shopping scene and Wales’ longest High Street (reputedly). The pier stretching out into the Menai Strait is a great place to treat yourself to tea and scones or an ice cream.

A delightful seaside town with a mix of medieval. Georgian, Victorian and Edwardian architecture. Meander through the town’s charming streets and pastel painted picturesque cottages until you reach Beaumaris castle, a United Nations World Heritage site. With lively cafés, pubs and restaurants there is something for everyone.

This quaint village in the Snowdonia National Park is surrounded by the Gwydyr Forest. Breath the fresh mountain air, walk the many trails, browse the independent craft, clothing and gift shop. Afterwards finish up in one of the diverse cafés, bistros, restaurants or pubs.

Caernarfon is a royal town and port in Gwynedd, Wales, home to the most famous castle and UNESCO World Heritage Site. The towns narrow streets and stylish redevelopment of the waterfront also merit a visit.

One of Llandudno’s most impressive and well preserved medieval castles containing the most intact set of medieval royal apartments in Wales. Explore the bow shaped great hall, kitchen, royal chamber and chapel to give you a taste of life back in the 14th Century

This large limestone headland rises 679ft straight out of the sea. Named by the Vikings it means ‘sea monster’. Jump on the cable car or Great Orme tram and you will soon be at the top to explore the geology, archaeology and wildlife.

A Victorian seaside jewel attracting crowds of beach gowers during the summer months. Peruse Victorian-era Pier, relax at the Botanical Gardens, ride the cable car or take the tram to the Great Orme or watch a show at Venue Cymru.

One of the most famous seaside resorts since 1848. Bosting a magnificent promenade with three separate beaches with four miles of golden sand. The town is nestled between the sea and the ancient woodland of Prestatyn Hillside.

Snowdonia National Park

Snowdonia, is concentrated around the mountains and glacial landforms of the massive Snowdonia National Park. The Snowdon Mountain Railway climbs to the summit of Wales’s highest mountain, Mount Snowdon, offering you views across the sea to Ireland. The park is also home to an extensive network of trails, lakes and craggy peaks like Cader Idris and Tryfan.

What better way to take in the breathtaking scenery of the Snowdonia National Park than on a historic steam engine. The UK’s longest heritage railway, running for 25 miles from Caernarfon, through picturesque Beddgelert and on to Porthmadogg.

The oldest most established zoo in Wales occupies some 37 acres of green landscape overlooking Colwyn Bay and the Carneddau mountains. Housing over 140 species the zoo welcomes over eight million visitors a year.
